The Team

CRAIG

Born in the wild landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, I’m a country bumpkin trying to “do a Sarah Jessica Parker” and live my life in the city. 20 years old, a Leeds United fan and a vinyl junkie. I mainly come from an A&R background, working for Universal Music Publishing, therefore I’ll be focussing mainly on issues facing the music industry, but touching on news coming from other entertainment industries.

My features will be published every Tuesday, so I say to Cat Stevens, Tuesday is not dead!

TOM

Alright! I’m Tom!

I’m 21, a Man Utd fan and a dead ringer for Rick Astley apparently!

Hopefully, over the next few months, we’ll be giving you a blog to go to for a bit of productive procrastination instead of heading over to Facebook every five minutes.

I’m back at LIPA after working at Sony Music in the video and creative department in the latter months of last year. I’m big into my music of all kinds, so you can look forward to articles from me about the latest music and entertainment issues.

I’ll be posting articles on the latest issues here every Friday, which kind of makes you realise what Rebecca Black was making such a fuss about!

Peace x

JOE

Ay up! My name is Joe Earnshaw A.K.A Jørn Skjær.

I am from the little town of Macclesfield situated just below Manchester. Sharing this birthplace with a handful of iconic people such as David Dickinson, Peter Crouch and Mr Methane to name but a few!

Throughout the three years at LIPA, my main interest has been the music industry. For this reason, I undertook my Arts Manager placement at Revolutionary Music, an artist management and digital marketing company situated in London Town.

At the moment, the area that I am looking at for my CIAM conference subject is the redevelopment of towns and cities through the use of the arts, and how we can benefit from this as arts managers.

Once I fell in a wasp nest and have also played football with Andy Cole.

I’ll be posting every Monday and who knows, if Bob Geldof had seen my posts he might not have written that fuckin’ song.

SARA

YEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We’re not Brazil, we’re Northern Ireland.

Im Sara, from Belfast, I’m into DJs, bands, promoting and partying. Industry interests include: live touring, festivals, ticketing systems and all things dance music. I’ll be posting on holy Thursdays, whilst stressing about finishing my dissertation. Wish me luck!

AOIFE

Hello! I’m Aoifé, originally from Newry (not Neureghy), Northern Ireland, I’m a wannabe scouser coming to terms with the fact that Northern Irish people just can’t do accents.

I’ve recently finished an internship with Money North and Bold Management, and while my main area of interest is live music, festivals etc, I will be blogging about issues related to all kinds of creative industries.

So far, I plan to give my Contemporary Issues in Arts Management presentation on product placement in music videos and television programmes.

I will also be posting every Friday, along with Tom, and I’ve estimated that roughly 90% of my blogs will be written from my beanbag, with a cup of tea. Feel free to join in the discussions!

Cheers

WILL

Yo Yo!

I’m Will from Liverpool. Winners of the Carling Cup as of today – Decent! Just turned 22, I have a habit of coming up with unreal catchphrases that people use in everyday life.

I have produced club nights from the age of 16… However during my 3 years at LIPA I have delved a lot more into commercial acts, fabricating a girl group, managing bands and currently looking after all online aspects and bookings for comedian Frankie Allen. My interests lie where the money is!

My CIAM topic is a secret. If you want to know it you have to let me do the cube in a desert test on you. It’s unreal.

I will be posting every Wednesday… Which is the first day of the week when Craig David makes love to his chicks - so big shout out to that kid!

Peace OUT!
